Winter Interns
HOW IT WORKS

HOW IT WORKS

MC’s unique four-month Winter Intern programme allows us to get to know you - and you us. During the June-July semester break, you'll be full-time for a week, getting to know your fellow interns and meeting people from all parts of MC.

From mid-July until mid-October, you'll be part-time in one of our teams, doing meaningful legal work and diving deeper into what it means to join MC. It's our busiest time, so you'll be getting real work experience, with training, support and dedicated buddy to ensure you get the most out of your time.  At the conclusion of the programme, we will commence the process for offering future graduate roles at the firm.

Summer clerk elsewhere? We encourage it! Do both and see which fit is best for you. Our programme is deliberately designed not to clash with other firms' summer clerk programmes.

What to expect

What to expect

Our winter internship programme focuses on developing you as a lawyer – taking what you’re learning in lectures and putting it to the test. The internship is divided into two parts:

Part one is a one week introduction during semester break where you’ll get to know your fellow interns and meet a variety of MC players.

Part two is a twelve week part-time programme where you’ll immerse yourself in a team, do meaningful work and dive deeper into the MC culture.

Being an intern is about providing you with real work experience and that means giving you the training and support to get the most out of your time here. Our team and your dedicated buddy will make sure you’re fully supported every step of the way.

We know that getting through your studies is a high priority so we’ll help where we can.

We won’t hold back on any of the social benefits available to MC people. You’ll be a full member of our MC team and be invited to all the events we have on offer.
