Sarah is an experienced trial and appellate advocate who has led a wide range of trials in the District and High Courts, and undertakes criminal and civil litigation on behalf of the Commerce Commission and various government departments.
She joined MC in 2020, having previously prosecuted under another Crown warrant. Before starting work as a prosecutor, Sarah interned at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, worked for four years as a defence lawyer at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in The Hague, and completed a Master of Science in Bioethics at Harvard University. Sarah’s articles on the connection between law and science have been published in the Harvard Medical School Bioethics Journal and the Auckland University Law Review.
Sarah provides mentoring and training to junior prosecutors at MC, particularly in the areas of criminal procedure and the prosecution of sexual offending.
