Rangi (Ngāpuhi-ki-Whaingaroa, Ngāti Kahu Ki Whaingaroa) regularly appears in the District Court for criminal matters, as well as the High Court for criminal appeals. She is involved in both regulatory prosecutions and commercial and civil proceedings for both government and private sector clients including the New Zealand Police, Customs, the Ministry for Social Development, the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment, Kāinga Ora, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Health. Rangi has Intermediate Crown Prosecutor classification. 

Prior to joining MC, Rangi studied te reo Māori at Te Wananga o Aotearoa (Te Pūtaketanga o te Reo) and worked for the Office of the Manukau Crown Solicitor as a law clerk, and Deloitte as a business consulting intern.
