Manawa Te Ahuru-Quinn

About

Manawa (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Rarawa, Te Aupōuri ), is a solicitor in MC's Commercial Litigation team. She assists government agencies, regulators, and corporate clients on commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, and enforcement proceedings involving consumer law, financial markets regulation, competition law, and public sector litigation. Her work spans all stages of litigation, including investigations, legal research, drafting pleadings and submissions, evidence analysis, and trial preparation. She works closely with senior litigators on complex, high-profile regulatory and commercial matters.

Manawa also regularly appears in the District Court as a Junior Crown Prosecutor and assists with criminal prosecutions, High Court proceedings, and appellate matters.

Prior to joining MC, Manawa studied at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka - University of Otago, where she represented the university in a national advocacy competition and was jointly awarded Best Speaker. During her studies, she completed two legal clerkships, including in the commercial litigation team of a national law firm. Manawa is an active member of MC's Kaupapa Māori rōpū, Te Tauhere Manaaki, and serves on the executive of Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa.
