Manawa Te Ahuru-Quinn

About

Manawa (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Rarawa) is a solicitor in MC's Crown Specialist Group. She assists with a wide range of criminal matters and High Court proceedings and regularly appears in the District Court. Most recently, she has assisted the Commercial Regulatory Team in the investigation of potential anti-competitive conduct under the Commerce Act 1986.

Prior to joining MC, Manawa studied at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka - University of Otago. In her final year, Manawa represented her university in a national legal advocacy competition and was jointly awarded 'Best Speaker'. During her studies, Manawa completed two legal clerkships and worked in the commercial litigation team of a national law firm.

Manawa is passionate about community engagement both within MC and externally. She is an active member of MC's rōpū Te Tauhere Manaaki and is the Tāmaki Makaurau representative of Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa.
