About
Kelly assists with a wide range of family proceedings in the Private Client team, including relationship property, trusts and estates.
Prior to joining MC, Kelly worked at a law firm specialising in Waitangi Tribunal matters, such as the Mana Wāhine and Justice Kaupapa inquiries, as well as family litigation, appearing in the Family Courts. Kelly is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant tutoring criminal law at the University of Auckland.
Recent Cases & Achievements
Kelly's Honours dissertation looked at greater provision of communication assistance to facilitate participatory rights of neurodiverse children and young people who traverse the youth justice system. The dissertation was adapted into an article and published in the New Zealand Law Student's Journal in 2023.
