About

Jaeden is a solicitor in MC’s Crown Specialist Group.  He assists with a broad range of criminal matters and High Court proceedings and regularly appears in the District Court.

Jaeden was a 2024 Winter Intern and joined MC as a Law Clerk in 2025.  

Prior to working at MC, Jaeden worked as a Law Clerk at a legal aid firm.  He also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland, teaching Criminal Law, Public Law and Equity.  

Recent Cases & Achievements

Jaeden wrote "Retroactive Laws for the Protection Against Offensive and Derogatory Public Uses of Mātauranga Māori and Taonga" in Ko Aotearoa Ināianei: New Perspectives on Protecting Māori Knowledge and Cultural Expressions (Auckland University Press, Auckland, 2026). 

Jaeden's Honours dissertation explored, "Protecting Wāhine Mātauranga Māori and Taonga: Applying a Mana Wāhine Lens to the State Intellectual Property System"
