About
Isabel assists with a wide range of criminal prosecutions in the Crown Specialist Group. She returned to MC as a Law Clerk in 2026 after interning with the Local Government Team in 2025.
Prior to joining MC, Isabel worked as a Law Clerk in criminal defence chambers. She also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Auckland, teaching legal method, geography and earth sciences. In 2025, she completed a semester-long law exchange with the Henry N.R. Jackman Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto.
Recent Cases & Achievements
Isabel's LLB Honours dissertation has been selected for publication in Volume 32 of the Auckland University Law Review. The paper is entitled Upholding the Proportionality Principle in the Face of Mandatory Sentencing: A Critical Analysis of the 'Grossly Disproportionate' Test in New Zealand and Canada.
Isabel graduated from the University of Auckland with the Faculty of Law Dean's Academic Excellence Award.
