About
Hiba is an Associate in one of MC’s specialist public law litigation teams, as well as appearing as a prosecutor for the Crown in criminal matters. Hiba has expertise in international law, human rights breaches, and challenges to statutory powers of law enforcements agencies and government departments.
Prior to joining MC, Hiba worked in London for the United Kingdom Government Legal Department, advising on politically-sensitive and high-profile litigation and appearing before the United Kingdom Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Hiba also has experience as a previous criminal defence lawyer in New Zealand, regularly appearing in the District Court and High Court for trials, sentencing appeals and bail applications.
