Sarah joined Meredith Connell in 2016 and is a Senior Solicitor in the Regulatory, Insolvency and Recovery Group.
Sarah primarily acts for and advises the Official Assignee and private liquidators on a wide range of insolvency litigation. Sarah’s focus is on asset recovery and she has particular experience in bringing claims against directors, bankrupts and related parties using the suite of remedies available under the Companies Act 1993, Property Law Act 2007 and the Insolvency Act 2006. In this role, Sarah regularly appears as sole counsel in both the High Court and District Court.
In the criminal jurisdiction, Sarah represents the Crown and the New Zealand Police. As a Crown prosecutor, Sarah prosecutes in the criminal jury trial jurisdiction and routinely appears on sentencing and bail hearings. Prior to joining Meredith Connell, Sarah worked for a specialist insurance litigation firm where she acted for residential homeowners following the Canterbury earthquakes.
