Mitchell is a solicitor in the litigation team in Wellington. Mitchell works on a range of litigation matters and has particular expertise in criminal law, evidence, administrative law and counter-terrorism law.
Before joining Meredith Connell, Mitchell worked as a Judge’s Clerk at the Supreme Court. Following that, he worked as a Senior Advisor on the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Terrorist Attack on Christchurch Mosques on 15 March 2019. He also assisted in the extensive update of the Criminal Jury Trials Bench Book.
In August 2021, Mitchell will be taking up a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship to complete an LLM at Harvard University.
