Michael Kilkelly


Michael is a solicitor in the Employment team providing advice and expertise across a broad range of employment law matters.  He also provides support to the Commercial Litigation team and acts for the Crown in criminal proceedings. 

Before joining MC, Michael spent two years as a judges’ clerk at the Employment Court.

Michael’s dissertation was a comparative study of remedies, particularly declarations of breach, for breaches of a country’s Bill of Rights in common law jurisdictions. This was following the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Taylor v Attorney-General [2018] NZSC 104.
