Mariah Hori Te Pa


Mariah is a solicitor in the civil litigation team based in Wellington, and assists in providing advice and advocacy services for a wide range of government bodies and private clients.

Mariah joined Meredith Connell in 2018 as a law clerk after completing her degree.  Mariah has previous experience in local and central government, charities and Māori legal issues which she gained throughout her law degree.

Mariah is of Muaūpoko, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Rārua and Samoan descent.

  • Acting for regulatory bodies such as the Commerce Commission in consumer protection proceedings.
  • Acting for local authorities in providing compliance advice, and in resource consent and judicial review proceedings.
  • Acting for government departments and Crown entities in all aspects of dispute resolution.
