Hayley McKee


Hayley is an associate in the firm’s Insolvency, Recoveries and Enforcement team.  She acts for private liquidators, creditors, the Official Assignee and the Inland Revenue in legal proceedings relating to corporate and personal insolvency . 

She has over 18 years experience as a civil litigator with a background in commercial, property and trust litigation.  She has also worked in England in the field of commercial property litigation and in Scotland in relation to criminal proceedings.

  • Acting for trustees in long-standing litigation arising from a settlement involving an estate and family trusts owning assets of $28 million.
  • Defending  a commercial property owner in arbitration proceedings involving issues arising from the Christchurch Earthquakes.
  • Acting in High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings regarding the valuation of shares in a company and the interpretation of s 149 of the Companies Act 1993.
