Erin is lead Partner of Meredith Connell's employment law team. She is a specialist employment lawyer with extensive experience representing public entities and private clients in both New Zealand and Australia.
Erin and her team provide a wide range of employment-related advice to employers, including around core employment issues, workplace fraud and investigations, health & safety and discrimination/harassment. She is a panel provider to one of NZ's biggest insurers on employment dispute claims.
A LEADR accredited mediator, Erin has represented clients in alternative dispute resolution hearings and appeared at all levels of the general and specialist tribunals and courts in New Zealand. Erin is also a qualified workplace investigator, holding the AWI-CH qualification since 2017.
Represented public and private clients in personal grievances/employment disputes.
Appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court in relation to various issues arising out of corporate recovery and unjustified dismissal claims as well as injunction proceedings.
Advised on organisational restructuring in local government, including advising on Auckland Council staff transition issues.
Managed employment claims for one of Australasia’s largest insurance and reinsurance groups.
Acted in the transmission of business issues arising from mergers and acquisitions of numerous commercial businesses, including undertaking due diligence and transferring employees.
