Erin is a specialist employment lawyer with extensive experience representing public entities and private clients in both New Zealand and Australia.
Erin was lead Partner in the employment law team for another top-tier commercial law firm from 2005 to 2012, where she provided a wide range of employment-related advice to corporate and public sector employers. She advised numerous local-government clients throughout New Zealand, particularly on industrial relations issues arising out of the amalgamation of Auckland Council in 2010.
A LEADR accredited mediator, Erin has represented clients in alternative dispute resolution hearings and appeared at all levels of the general and specialist tribunals and courts in New Zealand.
Represented public and private clients in personal grievances/employment disputes.
Appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court in relation to various issues arising out of corporate recovery and unjustified dismissal claims as well as injunction proceedings.
Advised on organisational restructuring in local government, including advising on Auckland Council staff transition issues.
Managed employment claims for one of Australasia’s largest insurance and reinsurance groups.
Acted in the transmission of business issues arising from mergers and acquisitions of numerous commercial businesses, including undertaking due diligence and transferring employees.
