Ben specialises in civil litigation and acts for a number of clients in the private and public sectors. He joined Meredith Connell in 2013 after a period working in the United Kingdom as an in-house legal advisor. Prior to that, Ben spent four years at a top-tier law firm in Auckland, focusing on banking and finance.
He also regularly appears in the District Court, High Court and the Youth Court on a range of criminal prosecution matters, including jury trials.
Acted for the Ministry of Education in proceedings brought against builders, architects and cladding manufacturers in respect of leaky school buildings.
Acted for Housing New Zealand in respect of proceedings against a number of parties for construction defects in a multi-unit development.
Acted for the New Zealand Police and Independent Police Conduct Authority in respect of civil litigation matters.
