April Kwak


April is a solicitor in Meredith Connell’s Regulatory and Insolvency team, and provides advice and advocacy services for government bodies, including NZTA.  She also acts for the Crown in criminal proceedings.

Prior to joining Meredith Connell, April worked as a Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Transport in Wellington, specialising in land transport policies and the Rail review, a cross-agency project to define and develop the future of rail network and system in New Zealand.

April also has experience as a legal intern at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and as an intern at the United States Embassy in Seoul, where she worked for the Customs and Borders Protection Unit.
