Anna Moodie


Anna is a partner in Meredith Connell’s corporate and commercial property team.

She advises clients on a wide range of commercial property matters. Her expertise is in the acquisition, management, development and disposal of property, public works law, statutory compliance, fractional ownership schemes, property investment structures and commercial leasing. 

Anna also provides advice in relation to Treaty of Waitangi issues including settlement negotiations, land ownership and administration.

Advising the Ministry of Education on the acquisition of land and infrastructure for new schools throughout New Zealand, including providing advice on Public Works Act procedures and obligations, negotiation of acquisition and development agreements, site due diligence, and co-ordinating input from external providers and advisors. 

Advising an overseas property fund manager on the acquisition, management, redevelopment, subdivision and sale of its New Zealand property assets, including negotiating contracts for purchase and sale, advising on complex warranty and occupancy issues, and advising the fund and its directors on their statutory and regulatory obligations. 

Acting for nationwide retailers on the acquisition and development of leasehold premises, focusing on the negotiation of complex commercial development and lease agreements and on the associated management issues relating to operating expenses, alterations, disposals and landlord/tenant disputes.
